Who is Joanne Mathisen??
Since 1980, Joanne Mathisen has been in real estate as an agent, broker, and then a banker and mortgage broker. Since interest rates were in the 18% range in the early 80’s and foreclosures and short sales were the rule of the day, Joanne feels equipped to work in any market and successfully assist anyone with their real estate financing needs.
During the succeeding years, Joanne became a state certified trainer and teacher of real estate financing and owned her own mortgage company. It was during this time that Joanne joined Toastmasters International and became an award winning speaker and lecturer in her local market. Her passion for her work and her presentation skills have combined to carve out a career that captures her love of teaching and training and her keen instincts in the mortgage industry.
While preaching the good news about including real estate in everyone’s financial portfolios, Joanne and her husband, Glen, have become real estate investors themselves and have a second business as investors. A professional who practices what she preaches, Joanne Mathisen is focused on buyers of real estate, so much so that she has authored several booklets on various topics ranging from credit to adjustable rate mortgages.
