Ormond by the sea is about five miles north of Ormond on the beach side peninsula. The residential area is on the peninsula between the Ocean and the river. The streets in Ormond by the Sea run at right angles to A1A the ocean and the river. Since it is only a few blocks distance from A1A to the river this means that all the residents of Ormond by the Sea can easily walk to the ocean.

The beach in Ormond by the Sea is a wide sandy beach that is undeveloped on the beach side of A1A. This means there is no obstructions to the view of the ocean, and also that there is unobstructed beach access along the entire length of the Ormond by the Sea Beach.

Ormond by the Sea does have one small plaza that provides shopping and there is also a couple of gas stations. But since Ormond by the Sea is only five minutes from Ormond the lack of more shopping is no real inconvenience. This big advantage of Ormond by the Sea is that it is so close to everything while providing a sense of remoteness and easy access to the beach, the ocean and the river.
