Gene Garrard is the man who keeps the team excited.
He was born in Huntsville, Alabama. Gene is a licensed Mortgage Broker, an active realtor, and a licensed life and health insurance agent.
Gene loves travel. He is also a golf enthusiast who has been to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina nearly a dozen times since the age of 12 to participate in week long golf tournaments.
According to Gene, “The prettiest real estate is on a golf course. From that vantage point you can get a feel for the area.”
Gene says he likes his job because he makes a difference in the lives of the people with whom he comes in contact by getting good mortgages. He says sometimes his work can bring about dramatic changes, especially for those individuals who are in dire situations. He says there is a great deal of satisfaction in being able to “come through” for the people whom he represents. He enjoys, sincerely enjoys helping people.
Gene moved to Daytona Beach, Florida at an early age and graduated from the renown Seabreeze High School, Daytona Beach, Florida.
He later attended and graduated from Florida State University with a Business Marketing degree.
Interesting facts about Gene Garrard
He worked for the famous Harrah’s Casino Resort in Lake Tahoe, California as a butler to celebrities as his very first job after college. He and a good friend had spent several months traveling across the country; their travels taking them from South Florida all the way to California.
Once in California, following the job with Harrah’s, Gene settled in San Diego as a candidate in the Sears Management Trainee Program. He worked in Los Angels for 5 years, and returned to Daytona Beach to care for his ailing mother who later died in 1988.
Gene’s Life Philosophy
Gene’s life philosophy can be summed up in the Golden Rule. He believes in treating everyone the way he would like to be treated. He believes in treating everyone with dignity and respect. Most days he’s successful in doing this.
Gene also believes that attitude controls 90 percent of what we do, and a positive attitude is more productive than the alternative.
