…but what a wonderful thing! So, I have done the unthinkable. Just when I thought it would never happen again, Cupid’s arrow hit the mark. Now that I am ENGAGED, life is changing. My bride to be has moved to the Funcoast to make a home with me at Larryland. We have been looking at bigger homes that have enough room for all her STUFF!!!
So ends the back and forth travel from Florida to Washington, DC. That bodes well for me as I will be able to get back on the water!!!

Speaking of which, the SKA Professional Kingfish makes its last stop in Little River South Carolina next month. We need two BIG fish to win this event. The waters of North and South Carolina are typically rough that time of year and we will have our work cut out for us.

The days are getting a bit shorter here but the weather couldn’t be any nicer. The next couple of months bring cool evenings perfect for sharing a bottle or three of red wine. The change in season also mean NFL football. Perfect!!!

Here it is mid August and the beach has been better than ever this summer. I have been throwing frisbees for 36 years on Daytona Beach, but the weather and winds have never been better than this summer.

Life is good and getting better. The water temps have been perfect for body surfing as well. I can’t think of anywhere else I would rather live, so come visit and see for yourself.

The Professional Kingfish Tour has one more stop to make in Little River South Carolina before heading to the National Championship in November. Currently, we are ranked 8th, a feat that eludes many. We are out to become Number One! New pics to follow in a week or so!

My Romantic Life Update
Last but not least, the better half, my new forever love, will be moving to Larryland in the coming weeks! The end of bachelorhood! Yikes! No worries, I have signed permission to keep on fishin’!

Shermans Travel magazine recently picked 10 beaches in the U.S. that are perfect for a quintessential family vacation. Included in that top 10 list was Daytona Beach, Florida.

Daytona Beach has 23 miles of sparkling Florida sand with the promise of plenty of surfside family fun to keep the kiddies content, plus a plethora of off-beach activities to keep them occupied away from the sun.

Wildlife excursions on the Halifax River and the nearby Marine Science Center offer eco-education, while the race-car simulator at Daytona USA thrills adults and kids alike.

Or, you can take them instead to the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, or to Orlando to see Mickey Mouse and the gang; both are only about an hour’s drive away.

In Florida  we are blessed with more than our share of sunny, bright and comfortable days through the course of any calender year. Florida is a very large state from north to south and from east to west. The Daytona Beach and Palm Coast areas are very centrally located. We sit on the “Worlds Most famous Beach”, but we are located right next to Interstate 95 and Interstate 4. It takes about 1 hour to get to Walt Disney World and the Orlando, Forida area. We are able to travel north, south, and west very easily due to the location.

Summer on the Florida beaches is one of life’s true pleasures. The water temp is cool and refreshing. Daytona Beach is known as “The Worlds Most Famous Beach”. You have the option of driving your car or scooter for miles on end. There is no beach like this in the world.

Well, Cupid has struck the Fishing Mortgage Banker. There is a special lady in my life. So, I have a dilemma.

Currently, I own 3 homes on saltwater canals in beautiful Palm Coast, Florida. I have lived in my current home for 7 years and it suits me just fine. Either of the other two suit me just fine. BUT, we will need a bigger house for the two of us and both of our pets!

That puts me in the market for a bigger, newer home. Of course it needs to be on the water! We will be looking for something in the Daytona and New Smyrna market. It also means that my 3 homes will be available for purchase and they are certainly worth a look!

Well, I need to get back to home shopping and preparing for the next Pro Kingfish tour and a local event, the Kingbuster 400.

SKA Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour .We have completed, my team and I, the second leg of the SKA Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour with a 13th place in the Pro Division and 1st place finish in the Cobia Division. Our 46.55 pound cobia stomped second place by 13 pounds!

Our two fish aggregate of 66 pounds has moved up the Team Evinrude/Koolau fishing team from 17th to 8th place on the Pro Tour. Follow our season at www.fishska.com
