Florida Real Estate Communities
These
are the communities of Deleon Springs, Orange City, Debary and
Deltona. There is a map at the bottom of this page showing locations.
Deleon
Springs
Deleon
Springs is a small community of about 3,000 north of Deland and
mainly dependent upon Deland as it's center of retail business.
Deleon Springs is famous for its springs and state park where
can be found manatees, ancient cypress trees. ancient oak trees,
plus Indian burial grounds, and an old Spanish sugar mill. There
is als a natural spring swimming area with picnic grounds, fishing,
and boat rentals.
Deleon
Springs has nearby rural residential areas with large acreage
and some of these also ahve large houses. If you are looking for
rural residence with large acreage while still close to the amenties
of Deland, Orange City, Deltona and Daytona Beach then Deloen
Springs area may be just right for you.
Orange
City
Orange
City is located south of Deland just north of and closest to Deltona.
Orange City is a city of less than 7,000 people although it does
have a hospital. Deltona hospitals are also very close. Orange
city also has manatees in Blue Spring State Park.
Situated
right near Deltona and I-4 Orange city is in an ideal location.
It is only half an hour to downtown Orlando and half an hour to
the beach. This is an ideal situation. You can live in a rural
area buy a house at lower prices and still be downtown in the
heart of Orlando, or at the beach in 30 minutes. In many big cities
it takes more than 30 minutes just to get about.

Debary
Debary
like Orange City and Deltona is half way between the beach and
downtown Orlando. You can either be on the beach or sunning yourself
in half an hour. Debary is situated on the St. John's River and
years ago steamboats ran up and down the river to nearby Lake
Monroe and Sanford.
Nowadays
Debary is experiencing a house building boom with lots of new
residential areas and houses. Prices are good and you can choose
to live in residential or rural area.
Deltona
Deltona
is a large residential area of about 70,000 people at the southwest
point of Volusia County. Officially this makes Deltona the largest
residential area of Volusia County although to the eyes it is
not really true since Ormond Beachm Holly Hill, south Daytona
and Port Orange together create an uninterupted urban area of
about 200,000.
Deltona
like Orange City and Debary is ideally located in relation to
I-4 and ease fo travel to either the beach on the Atlantic coast
in Daytona or New Smyrna or for a quick trip to downtown Orlando
or even Universal Studios and disney. Either way it is only half
an hour on I-4 to downtown Orlando or the Beach.
Houses
are well priced in the Deltona area, often for better prices than
can be found on the coast. Many of the homes in the Deltona area
are semi rural large houses on large lots. There are also customary
residential areas and subdivisions where bargains can be found.
Deltona is a great place to live.
